Module 4 Charpter 9 - Stitched Edges

Sample 12 -Layers of newspaper were glued together and painted. Slits were cut into the paper along one side and the paper curled - alternating a 'more curl, less curl' pattern. This reminded me of the plastic spines used to hold manual pages together. String was machine stitched and threaded through the curls in an undulating pattern, some machine stitching was also added.

Sample 13 -Post-It page marker tabs were placed along the paper edge and also laid in a row along the paper; machine stitching was stitched over the tabs.

Sample 14 - Holes were punched along the paper edge. String and wire were threaded through the holes and also stitched to the paper.

Sample 15 - Two rows of a decorative machine stitch were added to the paper, and holes were punched in between the stitching; hand stitching was also added.
