Module 4 Chapter 7 Grids by Other Means - Wrapped Frames

In the first sample, a 'Z' shape was machine stitched, binding the two-way wrap of floss and silk ribbon. Random hand-stitching was added, over the 'Z'.

The second sample was wrapped with floss, in one direction, and machine stitched. Scrim was added - in a mirrored 'V'. More floss was wrapped and machine stitched over the scrim, in the other direction.

For sample three, strips of felt were wrapped in one direction and hand-stitched with 'X's. More felt strips were wrapped and stitched, in the opposite direction ,forming a structured grid. Envelope button closures were added at the intersections and threads were wrapped around the buttons, in an 'X' pattern. This made the grid smaller.
