Module 4 Chapter 7 Grids by Other Means - Wrapped Frames

These samples were made using very stiff card frames. The first sample was wrapped with decorative fibers, in one direction, and the fibers were machine stitched together with satin and zigzag stitches - forming an irregular grid.

Sample 2 was made with two colours of silk ribbon, wrapped over the frame in two directions. A decorative machine stitch holds the ribbons in place; this was stitched on the diagonal with different coloured threads.
